A brisk breeze hints at the coming change of season. All too soon the breeze will be replaced by icy winds blowing in from the north. From his perch on a maple branch, a young sparrow huddles down amid the leaves. With downy feathers to ward off the cold, he will endure the winter, and perhaps even enjoy its stark beauty.
