Nothing warms the heart like watching a dog romp in the snow. This image continues John’s informal series of prints (most sold out at the publisher) that celebrate the special bond between dogs and people. John’s models for these portraits have been his own dogs in the familiar company of friends and neighbors. The model for Cold Nose, Warm Heart is Maggie, the artist’s golden Lab, whom you may remember from the popular release New Friends. Maggie is definitely bonding with someone here—someone who’s missing a red scarf!
