Fire In The Sky by Rod Frederick. “This scene is not from one particular place, but rather many places along the Yucatan peninsula, where Mayan culture was once prevalent. The ruins still stand but nature has begun to retake them. There’s quite a large array of critters that make their home there, but at first I didn’t see any because of the mist and shade. Suddenly out of the jungle there came a raucous cacophony of scarlet macaws as they flew into the sky. It was almost like flames flying out of the darkness.”
