Montana artist Chris Owen knows that cowboys have to prepare carefully in the morning for the whole day. This hand may ride miles across the ranch to where he will work the day or, in some cases, cowhands and their horses are loaded onto trucks and trailers and driven 25 or 30 miles to the day's work.
