Like most cats, the mountain lion is a solitary and secretive animal, secluding itself during the day. It is only in the hours at dawn and at dusk that the graceful and fierce animal emerges to stalk its prey. Daniel Smith’s award-winning animal portraits have recently taken the wildlife art world by storm. Art of the West magazine recently dubbed him one of the “heirs apparent” to Western Wildlife master Robert Kuhn.
